Megan Harlan

As the Senior Account Manager at Able Power Management, Megan Harlan helps clients reduce energy cost, manage budgets, perform market research and analysis to identity opportunities, as well as strengthen overall relationships with potential and existing accounts.

How did you get started in the energy industry?
I’m an Oklahoma State grad who was newly married and new to Houston in 2014 and needed a job. A friend from college gave my information to a recruiter and the next day I was at an interview and offered my first job on the spot. 

How long have you been a TEPA member?
6.5 years

Professional/personal bucket list item:
Run the Disney Marathon.

Tell us something that most people don’t know about you!
I would vacuum my house everyday if it didn’t annoy my husband.

Favorite or most memorable part of your career:
Taking a job in an industry I knew nothing about and making a career out of it.

Pizza!

Best advice for someone new to our industry:
Look for ways to continuously expand your knowledge.

The professional/personal value of your TEPA membership:
TEPA has allowed me to build great working relationships with suppliers and other brokers in our industry through meetings, conferences and volunteering at the Houston Food Bank. I recommend becoming a member of TEPA to better your knowledge in the industry and build relationships across the board in our industry.
