2017 – 2019
Andrew Barth is Partner at CSD Energy Advisors, LLC, an energy management firm based in Houston, TX that utilizes market knowledge and leveraged buying power to implement procurement strategies that merge price and product, to maximize our client’s energy portfolio. Prior to CSD Energy Advisors, he was the Vice President at Incite Energy, LLC, a national energy management firm and Demand Response service provider that assists clients with the development and implementation of integrated energy solutions. Andrew combines years of industry experience, customer service, and technology to provide client based solutions. His areas of expertise are in the planning and sourcing of commodity procurement strategies, risk management, and the development of efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Andrew also served as Vice President of Business Development for World Energy Solutions, a publicly traded company that assists clients in executing strategies to control and reduce energy costs through the application of consulting and brokerage services. Additionally, he has held Regional and National Sales Director positions in both Dallas and Houston, TX for World Energy Solutions and GSE Consulting, LP (formerly Gulf States Energy) where he recruited, developed, and managed sales teams across the country. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia and Past President of The Energy Professionals Association, (TEPAom University of Kansas.
2015 – 2017
David has more than 25 years in the energy industry with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions for competitive electricity and natural gas consumers across the North American and European restructured markets. Most recently, David co-founded Prism Energy Solutions, an energy consultancy for commercial natural gas and electricity consumers. Prior to forming his own company, David was Senior Vice President for Reliant Energy, where since 2001 he led the commercial and industrial sales and marketing division before joining SaveOnEnergy in 2009. While in his position at Reliant, he drove the profitable expansion of the company’s retail business, establishing Reliant as the second largest competitive retailer for businesses in the United States. Mr. Roylance also served in several other capacities with Reliant, including Director of Natural Gas Trading and Marketing in the western United States. Mr. Roylance also helped establish Reliant’s European sales and marketing presence during the opening of the competitive European markets. Prior to joining Reliant in 1998, David rose through positions of increasing responsibility at Conoco Philips’ domestic and international units, starting as an analyst and, ultimately served as a Director of Natural Gas Trading and Marketing. David is also very involved in working to establish consumer friendly rules and business practices for Aggregators, Consultants and Brokers. He is currently Chairman of the Standards and Compliance Committee for The Texas Energy Professionals Association, and Chairman of the Board for a non-profit focused on issues negatively affecting Children. David holds a BBA from University of North Texas.
2013 – 2015
Michael is the CEO of Unified Energy and manages overall operations, which includes implementing marketing strategies and monitoring the company’s growth. His experience includes working as a senior sales executive at Constellation New Energy and Integrys Energy Services. Michael earned a Master’s in Marketing at Northwestern University and a BS from University of Kansas.
2011 – 2012
For 10 years, Paul has worked at Summit Energy, now Schneider-Electric, as a sales associate, client energy manager and currently, as a director of the company. In this role, he is responsible for managing multiple accounts, his team and sales operation. Prior to joining Summit Energy, he worked at PoCo Energy Group beginning in sales and working his way up toward account manager and then vice president.
Involved in the deregulated markets since the beginning of deregulation in Texas, Paul has the know-how and skills, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry. He has worked in all types of businesses related to the development of the market. Paul also served as Chair on the Discipline Committee for three years to help enforce a code of conduct in the market through corrective instruction of TEPA’s membership.
Paul has over twenty-five years of experience in infrastructure development and regulatory compliance. His clients include public- and private-sector organizations preparing to exercise their options in deregulated telecommunications and electric markets. Paul helps public power utilities and other entities to implement electric deregulation plans. He has served as a municipal regulatory affairs officer and negotiated licenses and franchises for cable-television and telecommunications providers.
His duties included rights-of-way management, telecommunications tower sitting, Internet public service delivery and other economic development initiatives. As an economist at the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Paul was involved in telecommunications and electric tariff development and rate design. He also coordinated conservation and load-management projects and served on several Federal Communications Commission Joint Boards.
JD brings an extensive background of marketing and energy expertise to Rapid Power Management as he helped start up Reliant’s North Texas operations a year before deregulation started in the state. JD earned a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston Clear Lake in ’91, an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Texas at Dallas in ’00.
In the Energy field, he has attained a CEM certification (Certified Energy Manager) in December of 2006 and a CLEP certification (Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional) in 2007.
ST. CLAIR NEWBERN IV
A founding member of TEPA, St. Clair now serves as an at-large board member and a member of the PR and website committees. He works with other committee members to ensure the organization’s communication strategies and messaging are clear and consistent. He also oversees third parties contracted to implement PR and website related initiatives.
He served as the TEPA secretary in 2007, vice president in 2008 and president in 2009. During his term as TEPA president, St. Clair rolled out the CEP certification process and hired the organization’s first lobbyist in 2009, which led to TEPA’s official presence in the legislative process.
St. Clair is the president and CEO of Live Energy Inc., a privately held energy broker and consulting firm that has helped businesses of all sizes lower electricity costs since deregulation began in Texas. His career in the energy brokerage and consulting business began in 2001, when he founded the company. In his role, St. Clair manages all aspects of the company from IT to sales and ensures continued growth. He has always been an entrepreneur with a focus in the technology and energy fields.
St. Clair attended the University of Texas from 1992 to 1996.
Brian Markham is the President of TES Energy Services, LP. Drawing on a career that has cut across multiple industries including energy, distribution logistics, manufacturing representation and electrical supply distribution. Brian was also the past President of the The Energy Professionals Association.
Prior to joining TES Energy Services, LP, Brian served as Vice President and General Manager of PhD. Southwest, Inc. PhD Southwest, Inc. is a leader in the distribution and logistics business throughout the United States. Prior to joining PhD. Southwest, Inc., Brian worked within the house ware industry as the President and owner of D.U. Parker and Associates. D.U. Parker and Associates was a manufacturer representative in leading house ware manufactures.
Brian earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at SMU and studied management courses at Harvard University. Brian served in the USMC.
David C. Wiers has over 17 years of experience in creating and delivering innovative solutions in the energy industry. Mr. Wiers has participated in deregulated markets from their inception and has shared his expertise at numerous conferences and forums, advocating electricity deregulation and representing third-party aggregator, broker, and consultant (ABC) channels.
Wiers founded Satori Energy in 2006, which has now served over 50,000 accounts and has secured more than $140 Million in energy savings for its clients. In late 2011, Mr. Wiers assisted in the due diligence and purchase of Select Energy Partners (SEP). Mr. Wiers has led the strategic vision of the firm as Satori has continued its pattern of targeted growth through the acquisitions of Public Utility Brokers (September 2014), GOBY LLC’s procurement business (December 2014), Velocity Energy Group (January 2015), EnergyNext, Inc. (April 2015), WTX Power (August 2015), and InSource Power (October 2015). Read more here.
