HOUSTON – October 7, 2021 – The Energy Professionals Association (TEPA), a national organization of energy professionals, announced today that Shell Energy will be the platinum sponsor of the national TEPA conference on November 2-4, 2021, at Hotel ZaZa Austin. In addition to the 2021 national conference, the agreement included sponsorship of regional TEPA events held in Philadelphia and Chicago this year.

“The energy industry is in the midst of an incredible period of transformation that affects all of us,” said Javier Barrios, TEPA Board President and Managing Partner at Good Energy. “From discussions about supply reliability to the climate change impact, there’s never been a greater need for the energy community to work together. We’re grateful for Shell Energy’s sponsorship that will help us facilitate the important discussions around topics, which are meaningful to all of us, during our annual conference.”

Held annually, this year’s national TEPA conference will focus on the energy evolution featuring speaker and author, Peter Kelly-Detwiler, as well as emerging technology trends and impacts to the retail energy industry, current regulatory and legislative actions leading to a carbon neutral market, national electricity trends, discussions between the energy broker community and retail energy providers and a dynamic CEO roundtable discussion featuring David Black, CEO of Shell Energy Solutions and other respected leaders.

“We are excited to sponsor this year’s national conference and other TEPA events throughout the year,” said David Black, CEO of Shell Energy Solutions. “Events like these provide a great opportunity for needed discussion and dialogue as we look for solutions to the challenges facing our industry.”

The 3-day national conference will include a golf tournament, networking events, breakout sessions, and a main stage featuring keynote speakers and panel discussions.

“We have an incredible national conference planned that will host many respected leaders and experts in our industry,” said Shannon McGriff, TEPA Executive Director. “Through thought leadership and networking opportunities, this TEPA event will continue to cultivate ideas that will help advance competitive energy markets and continue to provide solutions for the consumer. We’re extremely appreciative of Shell Energy’s support.”
